This initiative is designed to enhance the knowledge and understanding of global affairs among students in Tennessee, complementing the work of educators by providing access to distinguished professionals and thought leaders. As part of this effort, the Tennessee World Affairs Council (TNWAC) offers high school and college students across Tennessee the opportunity to attend presentations by high-level professionals, who deliver keynote addresses as part of our Distinguished Speakers Series.

In Spring 2024, TNWAC launched a pilot project in partnership with Nashville high schools, engaging with local educators to explore innovative ways to expand international learning opportunities. By bringing renowned subject matter experts into schools, we aim to expose students to critical global issues and the professionals who navigate them. Past speakers have included ambassadors, military leaders, and global thought influencers, providing students with real-world insights from those shaping international affairs. This initiative continues TNWAC’s commitment to fostering global awareness and preparing the next generation for an interconnected world.
